Buonocore in the Gulf: Italian High Jewellery in White Gold and Natural Diamonds

CCronista August 20, 2026 5 min di lettura

In the Gulf, fine jewellery is bought as a set. Not a necklace that might one day acquire matching earrings, but a complete parure chosen together, worn together, and understood by everyone in the room as a single object. It is a demanding way to buy, because it exposes any inconsistency between the pieces instantly.

Buonocore is an Italian high jewellery house that works almost entirely in 18kt gold with natural diamonds and builds its collections as families rather than as single pieces. This is a guide for buyers in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia to what that means in practice.

The tennis line, and why carat total is not the whole story

A tennis necklace is a row of diamonds and nothing else — no metalwork to look at, no design to hide behind. Which is exactly why it is the hardest thing in a jeweller's catalogue to make well.

Three things separate a good one from a merely heavy one. Calibration: every stone in the row must be cut to a matched size, or the line ripples. Colour and clarity consistency: a single warmer stone in a row of forty is visible from across a table, in a way the same stone set alone never would be. The articulation: the links must let the row lie flat against the collarbone and follow the neck rather than standing away from it.

So total carat weight tells you the size of the purchase, not the quality of it. Ask about the matching before you ask about the total. On our invoices the total weight and the gold fineness are always stated; for a specific piece, ask us about the stones before you order and we will tell you what we know.

Five pieces

Collana Buonocore Leaf oro bianco tennis diamanti bianchi 24,41ct

The Leaf tennis necklace, 24.41ct is the top of this selection and one of the most significant pieces in the whole catalogue. The Leaf setting holds each stone in a leaf-shaped claw, so the row reads as continuous light with almost no visible metal. This is a bridal or a milestone piece, not an impulse.

Collana Buonocore Swing oro bianco tennis diamanti bianchi 17,99ct

The Swing tennis necklace, 17.99ct is the anchor of the Swing family, and the reason it matters is what comes next: the bracelet and the earrings below are from the same line, cut and set to match. Bought together they are a parure; bought separately they still are.

Bracciale Buonocore Swing oro bianco tennis diamanti bianchi 9,48ct
Buonocore Swing tennis bracelet in 18kt white gold with 9.48ct of white diamonds

The Swing tennis bracelet, 9.48ct is the piece that gets worn most, because a bracelet survives a working day in a way a 24 carat necklace does not. The clasp on a tennis bracelet is the part to ask about, and on this one it is a proper box clasp with a safety catch.

Orecchini Buonocore Swing oro bianco diamanti bianchi 8,04ct

The Swing earrings, 8.04ct complete the set. Eight carats across a pair is enough to carry an evening on its own, and enough to read from a distance under the kind of lighting a wedding hall actually has.

Collana Buonocore Groumette oro bianco groumette diamanti bianchi 6,90ct
Buonocore Groumette necklace in 18kt white gold with 6.90ct of white diamonds

The Groumette necklace, 6.90ct is the different one: a curb chain rather than a tennis line, with the diamonds set into the links. It is the piece for someone who already owns the tennis necklace and wants a second register — more architectural, less formal, worn during the day.

The Swing parure, in numbers

Necklace, bracelet and earrings from the Swing line come to 35.51 carats of natural white diamonds in 18kt white gold. Bought as a set, three things follow that are worth knowing before you commit.

The stones match, because they were selected within the same line rather than assembled afterwards from what happened to be available. The proportions are designed to be worn together — the earrings do not compete with the necklace for the same visual space. And the set is documented as a set, which is what an insurer wants and what matters if it is ever valued or resold.

If you want the three pieces reserved together, write to us before ordering. High jewellery moves one piece at a time, and we would rather hold them than tell you afterwards that one is gone.

Delivery to the Emirates and Saudi Arabia

We ship to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia at no cost with standard courier, three to five working days, insured for the full value and tracked from Genoa, with signature required on delivery. For other Gulf states, write to us first: we ship worldwide, but on pieces of this value we confirm the route with you rather than assuming it.

Two notes on money. The Gulf is outside the European Union, so the 22 % Italian VAT is deducted at checkout — on a piece at this level that is not a rounding difference, and the figure shown on the product page is the Italian price with tax included. On arrival, local customs duty and tax are set by the authorities of the destination country and collected by the courier; they are not in our price and we will not quote a number we cannot stand behind.

On any piece above the usual threshold we prefer to agree the shipment with you first — timing, address, and who will be there to sign.

Questions from buyers in the Gulf

Are the diamonds natural? Yes. Buonocore works with natural diamonds and precious stones — rubies, sapphires, emeralds — in 18kt gold. Nothing in this selection is a laboratory stone.

What documentation comes with the piece? An invoice stating the gold fineness and the total carat weight. If you need certification on a specific piece, ask us before ordering and we will tell you what is available for that reference.

Can a tennis bracelet be shortened? Usually yes, by removing links, but it changes the carat total and therefore the value. Tell us the wrist measurement in centimetres before you order and we will advise.

Does white gold need re-plating? White gold is rhodium-plated, and rhodium wears over years of daily contact. It is re-plated, not replaced; it is normal maintenance, not a defect.

Can I see more photographs before deciding? Yes. On pieces at this level, ask — we photograph what you want to see, including the hallmarks and the clasp.
