The ancient Torrini Factory was born in Firenze in 1700 as a goldsmith laboratory was born on the Ponte Vecchio by Francesco. A family of artists and sculptors that predates its business prior to 1369, the year of filing of the old mark at the State Archive of Florence. During the long years of the goldsmiths work it was done with love and dedication. The new eras have made technological and design improvements guaranteed quality, but the expression and handcraft manufacturing, artistic creativity, the value of man and his traditions, do not abandon our mission. All items in the collection are made exclusively in the Old Torrini Factory of Florence in Bartolomeo Scala street. Many are designed and manufactured to the Torrini Collections and bear imprinted the Old Trademark. Various others are made for important leading companies who come here for their needs. The whole story starts from a key figure, Jacopus Turini, skilled constructor of armours who moved to Florence and registered his trademark to the Blacksmiths of Florence. It’s 1369, inthe “State of Florence” is still retained document, discovered in 1968, registering the trademark "JacopusTurini de la Scharperia facit hoc signum". The "Signum", that is the trademark, is the clear link that confirms the long goldsmith tradition of this family. Torrini handed down from father to son for more than six centuries, almost unconsciously, giving it the meaning of well-wishing half cloverleaf with spur. The choice to own and maintain over the centuries its own brand, the Signum's Jacopus, to locate it and transmit it, highlights their characteristic and awareness ahead of its time to say Made in Italy. After more than 600 years, today, the Signum, the oldest registered trademark Jacopus, is still the symbol of Torrini goldsmith work.
