Since 1881 Seiko has built every component of its watches in house. Prospex, Presage, 5 Sports, Classic and Astron, from an authorized dealer in Italy: official warranty, in-house workshop, insured shipping worldwide.

Seiko has been making watches since 1881 and is one of the very few manufactures in the world that builds everything in house: case, dial, hairspring and movement. Cicala is an authorized Seiko dealer in Italy, jewellers since 1950, and this page lists the Seiko watches we actually hold in stock — Prospex, Presage, 5 Sports, Classic and Astron — shipped insured to the United States.
Prices below are indicative and refer to models currently available; the price that counts is the one on the product page.
The tool watches: automatic divers, the Alpinist, solar chronographs. Unidirectional bezels and cases from 39 to 45 mm. Our widest Seiko collection. Roughly €360–€1,950.
Japanese dress watches: enamel and lacquer dials, the Cocktail Time series, automatic movements often behind a display caseback. Roughly €330–€1,650.
The accessible automatic, now also in a GMT version. Cases from 38 to 42.5 mm, easily swapped straps. Roughly €240–€440.
Everyday quartz for men and women, cases from 29 to 40 mm. The way into the brand. Roughly €200–€480.
Quartz chronographs and sports models for daily wear, without a diver’s construction. Roughly €220–€530.
GPS Solar: it takes the time from a satellite, changes time zone by itself and never needs a battery. Roughly €1,900–€2,460.
The Seiko watches we stock run from about €200 to about €2,500, and half of them are under €400. Three things worth knowing before you order from Europe:
| Budget | What it buys |
|---|---|
| Under €300 | Classic quartz and the first 5 Sports automatics — the cheapest way into a real mechanical Seiko. |
| €300–€500 | The heart of the range: Presage automatics, the 5 Sports GMT, quartz Sport chronographs. |
| €500–€1,000 | Prospex divers and the Alpinist, Presage with worked dials and long power reserve calibres. |
| €1,000–€2,000 | Upper Prospex and enamel Presage, with the 6R series calibres. |
| Above €2,000 | Astron GPS Solar and limited editions. |
The reference code ends in a letter that tells you where the watch was assembled: J for Japan, K and P for the group’s other plants. The specification is the same, but J references circulate mainly in Japan and Europe and are harder to find in the US. We currently stock over 120 of them, and the full reference is printed on every product page, so you always know which one you are buying.
Prospex is the line built for water: unidirectional bezel, 20 bar and above, luminous markers, and construction to the ISO 6425 diving standard on the divers. The Prospex SRPE93K1 automatic, 45 mm, is the best-selling Seiko on our site; the Prospex Terra SPB507J1 is the modern Alpinist, at 39.5 mm. If you travel, the 5 Sports SSK059K1 GMT gives you a second time zone on a true automatic for under €400.
Seiko’s women’s range is smaller than the men’s but not an afterthought: quartz Classic models with cases around 29–34 mm, mother-of-pearl and sunray dials, and automatic Presage references in 34–38 mm for anyone who wants a mechanical movement in a smaller case. Use the filters at the top of this page to narrow by gender, movement or case size, or browse all women’s watches and men’s watches in the catalogue.
| Calibre | Type | Where you find it |
|---|---|---|
| 4R35 · 4R36 · 4R38 | Automatic | 5 Sports and entry Prospex. Hand winding and hacking seconds, about 41 hours of power reserve. |
| 6R35 · 6R51 · 6R54 · 6R55 | Automatic | Upper Prospex and Presage: around 70 hours of power reserve — three days off the wrist. |
| Quartz | Battery | Classic and Sport: maximum accuracy, minimum maintenance. |
| Solar quartz | Light | Recharges from any light source; no battery changes. |
| GPS Solar | Light + satellite | Astron only: sets itself to the local time zone anywhere in the world. |
Every watch leaves with its original box and official Seiko warranty documentation. Behind the shop there is a real workshop: full overhauls, original Seiko parts, polishing, battery changes and water-resistance testing. We have been jewellers and watchmakers in Genoa since 1950 — about us — and we ship insured worldwide, with a flat €22.50 to the United States and Canada.
From an authorized dealer. Cicala is an authorized Seiko dealer in Italy: every watch ships with its original box and official Seiko warranty documentation. We have been in the watch and jewellery business since 1950 and we ship insured, worldwide.
Yes. Shipping to the US and Canada is a flat €22.50, insured, with delivery in 3-5 business days. Prices on the site are shown in euro and include Italian VAT; VAT is removed at checkout for orders shipped outside the EU. Import duties and taxes due on arrival in the US are the customer’s responsibility.
The letter at the end of the reference tells you where the watch was assembled: J means Japan, K and P mean the group’s other plants. The movement and the specification are the same, but J references are harder to find outside Japan and Europe. We stock over 120 of them.
The Seiko watches we stock run from roughly €200 to €2,500. Half of them are under €400. Classic quartz and entry 5 Sports automatics sit below €300, Prospex divers and dressier Presage models between €500 and €1,000, and the Astron GPS Solar line above €1,900.
The Prospex line is the one built for water: unidirectional bezels, 20 bar and above, and construction to the ISO 6425 diving standard. The Prospex SRPE93K1 automatic is the single best-selling Seiko on our site.
Seiko sits in accessible luxury. It is one of the very few true manufactures — case, dial, hairspring and movement are made in house — yet its watches start at a little over €200. The group’s high end is handled by Grand Seiko and Credor, which are separate brands.
Seiko is not an investment brand, and it would be dishonest to say otherwise. Limited editions, some historic Prospex references and the hand-finished Presage dials hold value best. The rest of the range is made to be worn.
Every watch is delivered with its original Seiko warranty documentation and box. Warranty work is handled through Seiko’s own service network according to the manufacturer’s terms; for anything else, our in-house workshop services Seiko watches directly, including full overhauls, original parts and water-resistance testing.
