The Mido Multifort TV Big Date Chronometer M049.567.11.051.00 (code M0495671105100) is the first model in the Multifort collection to carry a COSC-certified movement. The rectangular “TV” case in 316L stainless steel measures 39.2 x 40 mm and is 11.5 mm thick; the lugs are 22 mm and the stated weight is 155 grams.
The dial is black, satin-finished with a sunray treatment and a rectangular chequerboard pattern. The stepped flange carries the minute track, the indexes are applied, and at 12 o’clock an applied frame highlights the Big Date: the large date on two separate discs that is this family’s signature.
The movement is the COSC-certified automatic Caliber 80, with a power reserve of up to 80 hours and a Nivachron balance spring, which improves resistance to magnetic fields, shocks and temperature changes. The case back is see-through, the crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and the crown screws down: the stated water resistance is 10 bar, that is 100 metres.
On the wrist it wears a stainless steel bracelet (Mido reference M605018740) with a butterfly clasp with push-buttons. The Mido list price is 1,550.00 euro.
We sell it new, with the official five-year Mido warranty, original box and receipt: Cicala Gioiellerie is an authorised Mido retailer. We size the bracelet for you before shipping, at no extra cost.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it run if I don't wear it?
The automatic movement holds an 80-hour power reserve: put it down on Friday evening and on Monday morning it is still running, and still on time. It winds itself on the wrist, from the movement of your arm.
Can I wear it in the water?
It is rated 10 bar, that is 100 metres: you can swim and shower with it. Rinse it in fresh water after sea water.
Does the crystal scratch?
The crystal is sapphire: after diamond it is the hardest material used in watchmaking, and in everyday use it does not scratch. A hard knock can chip it, and then it gets replaced — we do that here.
What warranty does it carry, and who services it?
It carries the MIDO international warranty. We are an official Mido retailer: service, maintenance and warranty work are all done here, with no one in between.
