Frequently asked questions
How long does it run if I don't wear it?
The automatic movement holds a 60-hour power reserve: about 2 days and a half at rest. It winds itself on the wrist, from the movement of your arm.
Can I wear it in the water?
It is rated 10 bar, that is 100 metres: you can swim and shower with it. Rinse it in fresh water after sea water.
What strap size does it take?
The lug width is 23 mm: any strap or bracelet in that size will fit. We fit it for you in the shop while you wait.
Does the crystal scratch?
The crystal is sapphire: after diamond it is the hardest material used in watchmaking, and in everyday use it does not scratch. A hard knock can chip it, and then it gets replaced — we do that here.
What warranty does it carry, and who services it?
It carries the MIDO international warranty. We are an official Mido retailer: service, maintenance and warranty work are all done here, with no one in between.
