Watch accessories: cases, travel rolls and jewellery boxes
A mechanical watch does not stop living when you take it off your wrist. It rests — and how it rests matters: away from dust, knocks and damp, lying on a soft cushion that will not scratch the caseback. This section gathers everything you need to store and carry your watches — cases, travel rolls, trays, stands and jewellery boxes — chosen from the Wolf collections, the house that devotes its entire production to this craft.
Storing a watch at home
If you own two or three timepieces, a box with individual cushions is all you need: it keeps the dust out and lets you choose at a glance. When the collection grows, or when one of your watches is an automatic you would rather find wound and on time, watch winders come into their own: they reproduce the motion of the wrist and keep the mainspring alive on the days the watch stays still.
Travelling with a watch
In a suitcase the danger is rubbing rather than impact: two watches touching each other will spoil one another. Travel rolls isolate each piece in a padded compartment closed by a zip; single stands, more compact, are made for those who leave with one watch and want to find it ready on the bedside table.
Advice from our workshop
An accessory is no substitute for servicing. An automatic movement should be overhauled every five to seven years, and in our Genoa workshop we carry out certified servicing for the brands we sell. If you are choosing the right accessory for a particular model, write to us: we know the case dimensions of the watches we stock. Looking for something to wear instead? See our watch straps and bracelets, or go back to all our watches.
FAQ
Do I really need a winder, or is a box enough?
It depends on the watch. A quartz needs nothing: a box simply protects it. An automatic you do not wear for weeks will stop, and each time it must be wound and reset: if that annoys you, a winder solves it. If you own a single automatic and wear it often, a box is enough.
How do I choose the right case size?
What matters is the case diameter and the bulk of the bracelet: a large diver’s watch on a steel bracelet takes up far more room than a classic watch on a leather strap. Tell us the model and we will tell you which cushion fits it.
Do you ship with insurance?
Yes. All our shipments are insured and tracked, and returns are accepted within 14 days.
