The Mido Ocean Star 200 M026.930.11.011.00 (code M0269301101100) is the dive watch of the Ocean Star collection: water resistant to 20 bar, that is 200 metres. The round 316L stainless steel case measures 41 mm across and 11.7 mm thick, with 21 mm lugs and a stated weight of 172 grams; the surfaces alternate polished and satin finishes.
The dial is white and textured, with hands and indexes coated in Super-LumiNova: it stays legible in the dark and just below the surface. The rotating bezel is black and unidirectional, as a diving instrument requires, and the crown screws down. The seconds hand carries an orange counterweight, the same orange as the “Caliber 80” lettering.
The movement is the automatic Caliber 80, with a power reserve of up to 80 hours and a Nivachron balance spring for resistance to magnetic fields and everyday shocks. The crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides. At 3 o’clock a double window shows the day of the week and the date.
On the wrist it wears a stainless steel bracelet (Mido reference M605019928) with a folding clasp, safety lock, double push-buttons and a diver’s extension, the one you need to wear it over a wetsuit. The Mido list price is 950.00 euro.
We sell it new, with the official two-year Mido warranty, original box and receipt: Cicala Gioiellerie is an authorised Mido retailer. We size the bracelet for you before shipping, at no extra cost.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it run if I don't wear it?
The automatic movement holds an 80-hour power reserve: put it down on Friday evening and on Monday morning it is still running, and still on time. It winds itself on the wrist, from the movement of your arm.
Can I wear it in the water?
It is rated 20 bar, that is 200 metres: swimming, the sea and scuba diving, as long as the crown is fully screwed down.
Does the crystal scratch?
The crystal is sapphire: after diamond it is the hardest material used in watchmaking, and in everyday use it does not scratch. A hard knock can chip it, and then it gets replaced — we do that here.
What warranty does it carry, and who services it?
It carries the MIDO international warranty. We are an official Mido retailer: service, maintenance and warranty work are all done here, with no one in between.
